Terms of use

Last updated October 5, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the Steelman app or this website. Please read them; using Steelman means you accept them.

Who we are

Steelman is made by Ohad Gadassi, an independent developer based in Israel (“we”, “us”). Contact: playsteelman@gmail.com.

Who can use Steelman

You must be at least 13 to use Steelman. If you’re under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these terms for you.

What Steelman is

Steelman is an educational app about reasoning: lessons, practice questions, debates and drills about logical fallacies. It’s practice, not professional, legal or academic advice. We work hard to keep the content accurate and sourced, but we can’t promise it’s free of mistakes. If you find one, tell us.

Steelman isn’t a complete LSAT course and doesn’t promise any test score. LSAT is a registered trademark of the Law School Admission Council, which isn’t affiliated with Steelman and doesn’t endorse it.

Your account

  • Give accurate details, and keep your password to yourself. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
  • You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile, then Account, then Delete account).
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people or the service at risk. If we do, we’ll tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Pro subscriptions and purchases

  • Parts of Steelman are free. Steelman Pro unlocks more, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays on until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app or your Steelman account doesn’t cancel a subscription.
  • A lifetime purchase gives you Pro for as long as we offer the app, with no renewals.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, since they process the payment.
  • If we change a subscription’s price, Apple or Google will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel before then.

Fair use

Please don’t:

  • copy, resell or republish Steelman’s lessons, questions or debates, or scrape them in bulk;
  • reverse-engineer the app, get around Pro, or interfere with how it works;
  • use Steelman to break the law or to harm, harass or deceive anyone.

Who owns what

The app, its content, the name Steelman and its design belong to us. While you follow these terms, you may use Steelman for your own learning. Teachers and coaches may show it to a class or team; ask us before using our content anywhere else. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Other services

Steelman relies on services from Apple, Google and others (see the privacy policy). Their own terms apply to your use of them, such as the App Store and Google Play terms.

If you got Steelman from the App Store

  • These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
  • Apple has no duty to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for any claims about the app, including product liability, failing a legal or regulatory requirement, consumer protection or privacy laws, and claims that the app infringes someone else’s intellectual property.
  • You confirm you’re not in a country under a US embargo and not on a US list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

No guarantees

We want Steelman to work well and be right, but it’s provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don’t promise it will always be available, error-free or suited to a particular purpose. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

Limits on liability

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data or profits, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Steelman in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn’t limit liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or gross negligence.

Changes

We may update these terms as Steelman changes. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Using Steelman after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and disputes go to the courts of Ramat Gan, Israel, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there. Before any formal dispute, please email us; most problems are solved faster that way.
